"Annelise Duque is an Filipino-American artist whose work is preoccupied with memory, identity, time, and the role of her body within multi-generational storytelling. She returns to memory and inherited histories as a way to tell the stories of her foremothers. Duque explores these themes through photography, collage, performance, and video work. She is forever entranced by the camera’s ability to reveal both truth and lies, and is currently using the photograph as a method of time-travel."
